Brief
To test our SEO hypotheses, we created a dedicated informational website devoted to construction (we deliberately chose a highly competitive niche). Our goal was to check how domain age affects its rankings.

Solutions
1. Posting Unique Content
The first step was to prepare and post ninety unique, high-quality articles on popular subjects. At that time, the website was just created; we had not done any link-building. The result was that the unique content we posted did not trigger any significant traffic growth.

2. Uploading Over 3000 Non-Unique Articles
After a while, when the site was already over three years old, we decided to massively upload non-unique articles to it. The content was prepared and uploaded automatically using a text generator.
In short, the process looked like this: the generator parsed competing websites according to a particular topic and used the collected materials to generate new texts. Photos, videos, and charts were also automatically added to the articles, and the newly generated content was uploaded to the site.
Overall, we posted more than 3000 non-unique articles. By that time, the website was over a year old. Even though the content was not unique, the effect was huge: the traffic grew by eight times.

Results
Age is an important factor in website ranking
Websites aged one year and above (in case they have a good history) can benefit from posting even non-unique content.
Webpages get more traffic with time
Over time, Google begins to send more traffic to old content even if it has not been modified. In our experiment, the more time passed, the better the rankings of the articles became.
Repeatedly confirmed results
We also conducted a similar experiment with our other website. The topic was the same as were other SEO conditions. The only difference was a younger domain age (under two years old) and different subjects for the articles[BB2] . The results were still more impressive – after posting only 1000 articles (three times less than in the above case) we ended up with an even more significant traffic growth. This proves again that domain age is an important factor for SEO and Google ranking.
Summary
The traffic growth to 80,000 visits per month was achieved solely due to the posting of non-unique articles. All the links to the website were organic – we did not do any link-building.
